The retirees, made up of three Senior and three Junior staff, served the ERCC and the Local Government Service with dedication for periods between 14 and 40 years. Each retiree received a citation of honour, a deep freezer, and a cash token in recognition of their selfless service.

The awardees are Mr. Yaw Okyere (Former Chief Messenger), Mr. Isaac Asare (Former Chief Messenger), Miss Salomey Kwashie (Former Chief Catering Officer), Mr. Emmanuel Nana Baffour Appiah (Former Senior Internal Auditor/Chief Local Government Inspector), Mr. Elvis Ofori (Former Chief Executive Officer/Ag. In his address, the Regional Co-ordinating Director, Mr. Yaw Adu Asamoah, expressed profound appreciation to the retirees for their hard work, discipline, and dedication, which have contributed significantly to the success of the ERCC.
According to him, the introduction of both the Retirees Appreciation Day and the Employee of the Quarter Award forms part of management’s renewed decision to promote a culture of recognition and motivation among staff.
It is also to recognize and appreciate dedication, service, outstanding performance, and to boost morale, motivation, and engagement within the establishment.
Mr Asamoah mentioned that the initiative is here to stay and that management will continue to refine the criteria to eventually recognize the overall best-performing staff.
He commended management for the initiative and encouraged staff in active service to remain dedicated and punctual in their duties.
The first recipient of the Employee of the Quarter Award as the Timeliness Employee for the second quarter of 2025 went to Joseph Ansah, a Messenger at the RCC. He received a citation and a cash prize for his consistent punctuality at work.
Speaking on behalf of the awardees, Mr. Emmanuel Nana Baffour Appiah, Former Senior Internal Auditor, expressed gratitude to management for the recognition.
He noted that even on retirement, they are willing to share their experiences and offer their support whenever the need arises.
