E/R MINISTER CUTS SOD FOR ASOKORE – ABRODUA CHIPS COMPOUND

The Eastern Regional Minister, Mrs. Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey, has cut the sod for the construction of a CHIPS Compound at Asokore – Abrodua near Koforidua. The project, when completed, will help bring quality healthcare delivery to the doorsteps of the people.

?The Minister said the provision of the facility is part of President Mahama’s agenda for the nation, aimed at improving access to healthcare services, particularly in rural and underserved communities.

?The construction of the CHIPS Compound is expected to contribute to the government’s efforts to improve healthcare outcomes and make quality healthcare services more accessible to the people of the Eastern Region.

The Catholic Diocesan Bishop of Koforidua, Most Rev. Joseph Afrifa-Agyekum, expressed gratitude to the traditional council for releasing land for the project.

He said the Catholic Church has over the years supported and contributed significantly to quality health services in the country, playing a vital role in the sector. He called for stronger and continued collaboration between the government, the church, and traditional authorities for the betterment of the country.

The Bishop urged the staff at the facility, when completed, to work with dedication and love, ensuring the provision of quality healthcare services to the people.
