A delegation from the Yilo Krobo Traditional Area has paid a courtesy call on the Eastern Regional Minister, Mrs. Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey, at her office in Koforidua on Tuesday, 25th March 2025.
The visit, which was the first since the minister’s appointment, was to congratulate her on her new role and wish her well in her endeavors.

Led by the Paramount Queen Mother, Manye Korlekuor Adjado III, the delegation expressed confidence in the minister’s ability to deliver on her mandate and contribute to the region’s development.
“We are proud to have one of our own appointed to this high office,” Manye Adjado said. “We have no doubt that she will work tirelessly to address the needs of our community and the region as a whole.”
The minister thanked the traditional rulers for their visit and assured them of her commitment to working closely with them to advance the region’s development.
“I am honored to have the support of chiefs and queen mothers from my community,” the minister said. “I look forward to working together to bring prosperity and growth to our region.”
She also outlined some of her key priorities, including improving infrastructure, enhancing education and healthcare, and promoting economic development.
Members of the delegation took turns to offer goodwill messages to the minister and presented her with traditional clothes and beads as a symbol of their support.
