The goal of the Ghanaian healthcare supply chain is to ensure a well-functioning supply chain that provides high-quality affordable health commodities in a timely manner to all service delivery points.
Initiatives like the Supply Chain Master Plan, Supply Chain M&E Framework, GhiLMIS, LMD, etc., have been introduced by the MOH/GHS in collaboration with our development partners to improve data visibility and availability.
However, over the years, this goal has been hindered by various challenges which have resulted in a sub-par supply chain that is unable to meet the ever-changing and ever-growing health needs of the Ghanaian population despite these numerous interventions.
Therefore, the region through the Medical Stores organized its maiden Supply Chain Conference and Excellence awards for all regional stakeholders. The objective of the event was to engage stakeholders to discuss implementation challenges and brainstorm solutions to strengthen the Health Supply Chain System.
