MASLOC CEO VISITS EASTERN REGIONAL MINISTER

The Chief Executive Officer of the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre, Abigail Elorm Akambea Mensah, on Friday, May 23, 2025, paid a courtesy call on the Eastern Regional Minister, Mrs. Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey, at her office in Koforidua.

The visit formed part of the CEO’s nationwide working tour aimed at gathering first-hand information on the operations of MASLOC offices across the country. It also sought to strengthen collaboration with regional authorities and enhance awareness of MASLOC’s ongoing initiatives.
In her remarks, Ms. Mensah highlighted MASLOC’s mandate of providing micro and small loans to start-ups and small businesses as a strategy to promote economic growth, create jobs, and reduce poverty. She noted that since its inception in 2006, MASLOC has played a critical role in supporting the growth and sustainability of small and medium-scale enterprises in Ghana.

Welcoming the delegation, the Eastern Regional Minister reaffirmed her office’s commitment to supporting MASLOC’s operations in the region. She commended the institution’s efforts in empowering local entrepreneurs and pledged continued cooperation to help expand access to financial assistance for small businesses.
