LEAD BY INSPIRING YOUR STAFF – EASTERN REGIONAL MINISTER URGES EDUCATION DIRECTORS.

On February 17, 2025, the Eastern Regional Minister, Hon. Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey, called on Municipal and District Directors of Education in the Eastern Region to lead by example, inspiring their staff while fostering a culture of respect and professionalism. She made this appeal during a meeting with all Municipal and District Directors of Education at the New Juaben Senior High School Library in Koforidua.

Addressing the directors, Hon. Awatey underscored the significance of education as the most valuable legacy that can be passed on to future generations, equipping them to become responsible citizens and leaders. She urged the directors to demonstrate dedication and effective management in their roles, stressing that education serves as the foundation of all development and must, therefore, receive the necessary attention to thrive.
Drawing from her background as a teacher, the Minister reaffirmed her commitment to supporting efforts to enhance education in the region. She emphasized her deep connection to the teaching fraternity and assured the directors that her office remains open for discussions on critical educational matters.

The Eastern Regional Director of Education, Mrs. Ivy Asantewaa Owusu (PhD), reiterated the directors’ commitment to advancing the Minister’s vision. She highlighted their readiness to collaborate closely with her office to achieve meaningful results and elevate educational standards across the region.

This engagement marks the beginning of sustained collaboration between the Regional Minister and the education sector, aimed at driving improvements in education throughout the Eastern Region.
