ERCC HUMAN RESOURCES DEPARTMENT ORGANIZES REFRESHER WORKSHOP

The Eastern Regional Co-ordinating Council (Department of Human Resources) organised a refresher workshop for 74 officers from the Executive and Revenue classes of the Local Government Service who are qualified for the Public Services Commission (PSC) Examination on Wednesday, 20th August 2025. The examination, which is a key requirement for promotions within the Public Service, assesses officers’ knowledge in English Language, Mathematics, Public Service regulations, and other subjects necessary for effective service delivery.

Expert facilitators, including Mr. Cyril Dzinyanu Xatse, Head of Human Resources (ERCC), Dr. Alexander Otopa, Head of Finance (ERCC), and Mr. Peter Sae Afari, Deputy Director of Administration (ERCC), delivered presentations that provided participants with a deeper understanding of Local Government Service protocols, English Language proficiency for the PSC Examination, and cross-cutting issues relevant to the examination.

The Regional Co-ordinating Director (RCD), Mr. Yaw Adu-Asamoah, emphasized the importance of such preparatory workshops, noting that they have greatly equipped officers to excel in both interviews and the PSC Examination, which are important steps towards career advancement and promotion. He encouraged the officers to take full advantage of the training to prepare themselves for higher responsibilities within the Service.
