Eastern Regional Minister, Mrs. Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey, has paid a one-day working visit to four Municipal and District Assemblies (MDAs) in the region. The assemblies visited were Birim South, Yilo Krobo, Achiase, and Birim Central.
The visit aimed to familiarize herself with the working dynamics of the region. Her engagement with staff reflected her commitment to supporting the development of the region.
Interacting with staff members, Mrs. Awatey praised them for their neutrality and commitment to work. She commended their dedication to ensuring the effective running of the assemblies, even in the absence of Chief Executives.
The Minister urged the staff to maintain cordial working relationships with any person to be nominated by the President as Chief Executive of their assemblies. She emphasized the importance of revenue mobilization and encouraged the staff to prioritize this to boost the assemblies’ financial capacity.
