ASSEMBLIES OF GOD CHURCH PLEDGES TO PARTNER WITH GOVERNMENT FOR DEVELOPMENT

A delegation from the Assemblies of God Church has pledged to collaborate with the government in advancing national development. The delegation, led by the Regional Superintendent of Eastern Region “A,” Rev. Albert Anane, met with the Eastern Regional Minister, Mrs. Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey, at her office in Koforidua to discuss the church’s contributions and potential areas of partnership.

Rev. Anane highlighted the church’s extensive investments in education, healthcare, and agriculture, which align with the government’s development agenda. He emphasized that these initiatives reflect the church’s commitment to improving the lives of Ghanaians and urged the government to recognize faith-based institutions as development partners rather than solely religious bodies.

He further noted that collaboration would enable the government to leverage the church’s resources, expertise, and networks for shared development goals. The church, he added, is willing to work with the government to identify key areas for joint projects that will benefit communities nationwide.

The Regional Minister, Mrs. Awatey, expressed gratitude to the ministers of the gospel for their visit. She welcomed the church’s commitment to national development and emphasized the vital role of faith-based institutions in advancing social welfare, education, and economic growth. She assured the delegation that the government recognizes and values these contributions and remains open to meaningful partnerships that drive progress.
