On Friday, 7th February 2025, the Eastern Regional Minister, Hon. Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey, commended female security personnel for their dedication and ability to balance their professional duties with household responsibilities in a traditionally male-dominated field.
She acknowledged their unwavering commitment and selfless efforts in maintaining both stable homes and exceptional workplace performance. She described their contributions as invaluable and indisputable.

Hon. Awatey made these remarks at the Annual Get-Together and End of Service Recognition ceremony of the Eastern Regional Police Ladies Association (POLWA) in Koforidua. POLWA is an association dedicated to supporting and empowering female police personnel by promoting their welfare, interests, and professional development.

The event provided an opportunity to reflect on past achievements and strategize for the years ahead. Hon. Awatey emphasized the crucial role female security personnel play in complementing their male counterparts to uphold peace, law, and order in the country.
