Department of Rural Housing is mandated to provide advice and input into policies, and develop programmes for decent and affordable housing in rural and peri-urban areas. The Department is also empowered to facilitate the dissemination of creative and innovative research findings in the production and use of improved local building materials as to support and enable national housing development and delivery.
