VICE PRESIDENT, DR. BAWUMIA VISITS AYENSUANO DISTRICT

His Excellency the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on Monday 27th February 2023 paid a working visit to Ayensuano District in the Eastern Region to inspect development Projects that were being constructed to improve the standard of living of the people in the area.

The Vice President inspected an ongoing classroom block at Kwaboanta Presbyterian Junior High School. The project was in fulfillment of a promise made to the Presbyterian Church of Ghana at their Centenary Anniversary Celebration of Akuapim Presbytery where he pledged to support the Church’s vision to build legacy projects in various communities to mark its Centenary celebration.

In his address, Dr. Bawumia commended the Presbyterian Church of Ghana for its immense contribution to the development of the nation in most sectors of the economy. He said the contribution of the Church to Education and Health in the country cannot be overemphasised.
Other projects he inspected were, the construction of the Ayensuano District High Court at Coaltar, ongoing Road projects, and the construction of a concrete bridge on the Coaltar and Amanase road.

Accompanying the Vice President were the Eastern Regional Minister Hon. Seth Kwame Acheampong, the Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Hon. Jeff Konadu Addo, Mr. Dennis Aboagye, the Municipal Chief Executive of Akuapim North Municipal Assembly, the Honourable Deputy Minister for Tourism Arts and Culture, Mr. Mark Okraku Mantey, and the Executive Secretary of Inter-Ministerial Coordinating Committee on Decentralisation, Ing. Salifu Mahama.
