EASTERN REGIONAL MINISTER PRAY WITH THE SECURITY SERVICES.

The Eastern Regional Coordinating Council in collaboration with Ascension Presbyterian Church, Ghana, Koforidua District has organized Prayer and Thanksgiving Service for the Security Services from Ghana Police Service, Ghana Armed Forces, Ghana Immigration Service, Ghana National Fire Service, Ghana Police Service, and other security agencies in the region.

The purpose of the programme was to thank God for His protection and guidance throughout the previous years and to commit the year 2023 and beyond to the hands of the Creator as they continue to offer their services to the nation.
In his address, the Honourable Eastern Regional Minister and the Chairman of the Regional Security Council (REGSEC), Mr. Seth Kwame Acheampong commended the security heads and their men for their commitment to peace and safety in the region.

He expressed the belief that the success of their stewardship would not have been possible if God had not commissioned it and urged them to continue to pray to commit their work and family to the hands of the Almighty God in order to overcome every evil plan that may be fashioned against them.
He consequently thanked God for the reductions in crime and fire outbreaks in the region; and for keeping the region safe from all forms of instability.

Leading the Prayers, the District Minister of the Presbyterian Church, Ascension Congregation, Koforidua, Rev. Justice Kwame Asumeng emphasized the importance of God’s presence in all sectors of life; Health, Education, Economics, Security, etc.
He admonished the security officers always to invite God and His unflinching protection as they seek to offer protection to the life and property of others at the expense of their lives.
He also urged them to put God first in the discharge of their duties, adding that without the fear of God, they would go wayward.
Rev. Asumeng finally asks for God’s protection for the Security Heads and their family.
