CONSTRUCTION OF THE PEDUASE-MAMFE-KOFORIDUA DUAL CARRIAGEWAY- EASTERN REGIONAL MINISTER LAUDED GOVERNMENT.

The Honourable Eastern Regional Minister, Mr. Seth Kwame Acheampong has praised the government led by the President, H. E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for the commitment exhibited to re-construct Peduase-Mamfe-Koforidua road into a double-lane highway.
The 55-kilometre (Km) double Lane Road project, when completed the minister observed, would reduce travel time, travel costs and improve economic activities along the stretch and its immediate environs.
The project would start from the Peduase Lodge in the Akuapim South Municipality through the Mamfe roundabout and end up at the Koforidua junction.
Hon. Acheampong lauded the government when a delegation from the Development Bank of South Africa(DBSA) and HSBC BANK PLC, the financing company and Messrs QGMI Construcciones E Infraestructuras Globales (QGMI) and the Rango Construction Company Limited (RCCL), the construction firm for the project paid an official visit to introduce themselves to the Regional Coordinating Council in Koforidua on Wednesday, 24th August,2022. The team was accompanied by the Regional Highways engineer.
He also commended the leadership of Parliament and the entire Parliamentarians for approving a loan facility of €150 million for the construction of the project.
He exhorted the consultant to ensure that compensation is made to the affected individuals and institutions.
