Construction works on the 11-kilometre Somanya-Kpong Road in the Eastern Region are expected to resume in full scale following a period of inactivity. \nMrs. Awatey explained that fruitful discussions are ongoing with the Ministry of Roads and Highways to resolve the financial constraints and expedite the contractor\u2019s return. She gave a firm assurance that the resumption of work is imminent and will bring much-needed relief to the affected communities.
\nShe expressed concern about the dust pollution and delays, reaffirming the government\u2019s commitment to road infrastructure as a catalyst for socio-economic development.
