This initiative aims to ensure that citizens receive their cards promptly.<\/p>\n<p>Presenting the cards in Koforidua, the Corporate Affairs Director at the NIA, Williams Ampomah Darlas, noted that in addition to clearing the backlog, a significant number of printed cards remain uncollected at various municipal and district offices. <\/p>\n<p>He urged the Coordinating Council to collaborate with the Information Services Department (ISD) and the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) to make public announcements about the collection of these cards.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.easternregion.gov.gh\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/IMG-20250407-WA0021.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"624\" height=\"480\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3912\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.easternregion.gov.gh\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/IMG-20250407-WA0021.jpg 624w, http:\/\/www.easternregion.gov.gh\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/IMG-20250407-WA0021-300x231.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 624px) 100vw, 624px\" \/><br \/>\nReceiving the cards, the Eastern Regional Minister, Mrs. Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey, expressed gratitude to the NIA for its efforts in addressing the backlog.<br \/>\nShe emphasized the importance of the Ghana Card in enhancing national security, facilitating access to essential services, and promoting economic development.
