Seth Kwame Acheampong, continued its peace tour, engaging religious leaders, opinion leaders, and community members from the New Juaben South and North municipalities at the New Juaben South Municipal Assembly Hall. This meeting marked Day 2 of the REGSEC peace initiative, aimed at fostering unity and encouraging peaceful practices across communities as the December 2024 general elections approach. Representing the President, Hon. Isaac Appaw-Gyasi, who expressed gratitude to the Council for the timely engagement. Hon. Appaw-Gyasi praised Hon. Acheampong for his dedication and leadership, emphasizing that the engagement symbolized REGSEC\u2019s commitment to building strong partnerships with religious and community leaders. Seth Kwame Acheampong, affirmed the importance of preserving Ghana&#8217;s longstanding legacy of peace. Speaking on behalf of the President, he remarked, \u201cWe have inherited a nation rooted in peace, and we must not let any action or rhetoric threaten this cherished stability. Freedom of expression is a cornerstone of democracy, but it should not incite division. Our words must promote unity and respect as we approach the elections.\u201d He underscored that the peace tour serves as a proactive effort to engage community voices and ensure collaborative support for national security.<br \/>\nHon. Acheampong\u2019s address, an open forum provided leaders the opportunity to share their thoughts, concerns, and questions. REGSEC members responded by assuring attendees of the security measures in place for the upcoming elections. Participants raised questions about police readiness, strategies to address potential disturbances, and plans for maintaining order.
