Seth Kwame Acheampong at his office in Koforidua, the regional capital.<br \/>\nThe visit to the minister&#8217;s office formed part of her two-day working tour of the region to interact with key Government Officials, Traditional Authorities, and Business Communities with the objective of strengthening the bilateral relationship between Ghana and Namibia.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.easternregion.gov.gh\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/338429280_539230534788852_7735755930295725562_n-1024x594.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"418\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1892\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.easternregion.gov.gh\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/338429280_539230534788852_7735755930295725562_n-1024x594.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/www.easternregion.gov.gh\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/338429280_539230534788852_7735755930295725562_n-300x174.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.easternregion.gov.gh\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/338429280_539230534788852_7735755930295725562_n-768x445.jpg 768w, http:\/\/www.easternregion.gov.gh\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/338429280_539230534788852_7735755930295725562_n-1536x891.jpg 1536w, http:\/\/www.easternregion.gov.gh\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/338429280_539230534788852_7735755930295725562_n.jpg 1980w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px\" \/><br \/>\nIn her opening statement, H.E Ashipala -Musavyi indicated that Namibia&#8217;s population was largely Agrarian, with Agriculture contributing over 25% of the country\u2019s GDP, even though the country has one of the driest vegetation in the Sub Sahara African region.<br \/>\nShe said a large number of the country\u2019s population rely on Livestock farming and meat production for their livelihood, adding that Namibia was one of the few countries with the license to export processed meat to any part of the world because of the high standards the country has put in place for the industry.<br \/>\nCounting on the success story of cattle rearing, H. E Ashipala Musavyi, indicated that each of the over 2.5 million cattle in the country has an electronic tag that can be traced to the farm and the owner of the farm. This, she added, has put an end to rustling and has made it difficult to see cattle on the roads or on other people\u2019s farms.<br \/>\nHon. Acheampong was very enthused about the success story of Namibia\u2019s cattle rearing industry and the mechanisms put in place to perfect the system and expressed his desire to collaborate with the Namibia Government for best practice purposes to bring an end to the perennial clashes between the nomadic herdsmen and farmers in some parts of the region.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.easternregion.gov.gh\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/338501732_1411610496045892_4349448392612402113_n-1024x461.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"324\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1894\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.easternregion.gov.gh\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/338501732_1411610496045892_4349448392612402113_n-1024x461.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/www.easternregion.gov.gh\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/338501732_1411610496045892_4349448392612402113_n-300x135.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.easternregion.gov.gh\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/338501732_1411610496045892_4349448392612402113_n-768x346.jpg 768w, http:\/\/www.easternregion.gov.gh\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/338501732_1411610496045892_4349448392612402113_n-1536x692.jpg 1536w, http:\/\/www.easternregion.gov.gh\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/338501732_1411610496045892_4349448392612402113_n.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px\" \/><br \/>\nHe also invited Namibia to partner Eastern Region in the development of other sectors of the economy such as Hospitality and Tourism, Industrialisation, Mining, and Agriculture.<br \/>\nHon. Acheampong consequently called for strong collaboration between the Akuapem Shoe factory and some leather production companies in Namibia for a mutual economic relationship.<br \/>\nHer Excellency, Selma Ashipala-Musavyi was accompanied by the Association of Ghana Industry\u2019s Regional President, Mr. Dela Gadzanku. The team had earlier on visited Akwamu Palace, Akosombo Textiles, and later visited the New Juaben Palace.
